You’ll Never See a Tweet Like This

Another reason I like Twitter better (way better) than FriendFeed: fewer monkeys throwing poop on each other, under the guise of “conversation”.

What’s that old simile comparing “Arguing on the internet” with “Special Olympics”? Hmmm….

    I guess the real problem I see with Twitter (and the likes) is the value you get for the effort you put into it. It doesn’t seem to balance out.

    @Tim Rueb: I was a skeptic too, and delayed tweeting for months. At the risk of sounding like a Scientologist, I really do get tons of value out of tweeting, it’s just not measured in tangible currency. I described it elsewhere as more of a Zen thing. And I really do get turned on to new concepts, ideas, in a way that’s a lot more personal than just reading hundreds of RSS feeds.
