Screwy Twitter, or Screwy Twhirl?

I don’t think this is just a local problem because I saw Marshall Kirkpatrick tweet about it earlier – but Twhirl all of a sudden decided to stop showing avatars and usernames:


Do the ghosts in the machine dislike the pending Seesmic acquisition?    Is it Twitterific trying to hack Twhirl to screw with the deal?  Or is Twitter-wide, affecting all clients equally?
