From the Wikipedia article on “Preference”:

If a ≤ b and b ≤ a then the consumer is indifferent between a and b.

*cough* doesn’t this mean that a = b? (Or a == b for you programmers). Maybe there’s some wild hypergeometry stuff I’m missing.
