Neat feature of the Silverlight XAML parsing: when you add an attribute that is not supported, the runtime will tell you right away with a big gnarly error, rather than failing silently. In my case, playing around with how to add a border to the entire Silverlight canvas, I naively added:


But got the following runtime error:


The only unfortunate thing, but not unexpected, is that you can apparently trap these parser errors in the Page_Loaded() event.
