Silverlight: Referencing Canvas Elements

After Hello, World! the next logical Silverlight test is to dynamically set the value of the TextBlock from the code-behind page. The ASP.NET style declaration:

<TextBlock id=”foo” Text=”Hello, World!” />

doesn’t work, and in fact throws this exception at runtime:

So don’t do that!
